We've weighed and measured every game we've reviewed, box and all, so you can see at a glance what will fit in your bag. Compare box sizes, weights and player counts, plus which games work on a plane or outdoors.

Smallest and lightest: Dobble, at 161 g in a tin about 10 cm across.
Best for hand luggage: Hive Pocket (206 g, in a soft pouch) and Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza (215 g, 8.5 × 12 cm).
Best on a plane: Hive Pocket. Its heavy tiles stay put when the tray wobbles.
Heaviest: Bomb Busters, at 1 kg in a 27 × 27 cm box. Brilliant, but one for car holidays.
Most to gain from ditching the box: Exploding Minions. The box is 15 × 21 × 6.5 cm, but inside it's essentially a pack of cards.
Tap a column heading to sort. Box sizes are width × height × depth as sold, and weights include the box. New reviews are added automatically.
Every game in the table is one we own and have taken away with us. We measured each box ourselves and weighed it as we'd pack it, so the numbers reflect what actually goes in your bag rather than the publisher's listing.
Sizes are width × height × depth in centimetres. Hive Pocket comes in a soft cloth pouch, so it has no fixed depth.
Look at the depth, not just the footprint. Two boxes can share the same 13 × 18 cm footprint and still pack very differently once you add the depth.
Ditch the box where you can. Card games like Exploding Minions and Herd Mentality shrink to a fraction of their size in a deck box or zip bag.
Weigh up the board. Games marked "Board needed" can't be slimmed down, so save them for holidays where luggage space isn't tight.
Of the games we've measured, Dobble is the smallest and lightest: a tin about 10 cm across that weighs 161 g.
Hive Pocket and Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza both weigh just over 200 g and take up very little space. Hive Pocket also works on a plane tray table.
Most of the games here are card games that play without a board. Bomb Busters and Forbidden Desert need their boards, and The Crew: Family Adventure has an optional board that helps younger players.
A couple of simple accessories we use ourselves to protect games and cut down the amount of packaging we need to take away.

We use these sleeves with The Crew: Mission Deep Sea. They add a little bulk, but they help protect a game that gets handled and shuffled a lot while we're away.

These simple deck boxes are useful for leaving bulky game packaging at home and taking only the cards you actually need. Different colours also make it easy to keep several games separate in your luggage.

We wouldn't bother using one for Just One because you still need the other components from the original box.
